Laboratory Materials Testing
|
GLSEC's materials testing laboratory is one of the finest in the Chicago area.
Our experienced staff offer a comprehensive array of analyses for soil, aggregate,
asphalt, concrete and geo-synthetic materials. Soil testing ranges from basic tests
like proctor and particle size analyses to advanced tests like flexible wall
permeability, direct shear, consolidation and triaxial tests. Our state of the art
facilities boast automatic equipment and data acquisition systems to minimize operator
and data entry errors. Our in-house data management system and QC procedures ensure
accurate results and expedited turn-around. Our materials testing laboratories have
been accredited by a number of regulatory agencies including US Army Corps of Engineers,
ASTM/AASHTO and Illinois Department of Transportation.

Field QA/QC Services
|
Our IDOT and ACI certified engineering technicians and field engineers can handle
any testing needs typically encountered on construction projects.
Our capabilities include but not limited to: Compaction testing of soils, aggregate
and asphalt, concrete and asphalt plant & field inspections and laboratory testing,
mortar and grout testing, floor flatness testing, mass earthwork monitoring and
testing of soils, in-place bearing capacity determinations, pile and caisson
foundation installation monitoring, weld inspections and testing of bolted

Construction Inspection
