Great Lakes Soil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (GLSEC) provides comprehensive
field & laboratory testing and consulting services in the areas of geotechnical,
materials and geo-environmental engineering. Our Professionals possess extensive

geotechnical, construction monitoring and geo-environmental fields. GLSEC's staff
includes Registered Professional Engineers and Illinois Department of Transportation
& American Concrete Institute (ACI) certified Engineering Technicians. Our corporate
office and laboratory are located in Burr Ridge, Illinois with an extended laboratory
and office in Wauconda, Illinois.
GLSEC has worked on over 3000 small, medium and large projects involving soils investigation,
laboratory testing, design and construction monitoring. Our clients include engineering
and environmental consulting firms, owners, contractors, municipalities, state and
federal agencies. Our projects include airports, highways, school buildings, restaurants,
commercial & industrial buildings, residential subdivisions, shopping complexes,
sanitary and ash landfills, parking lots, bridges, golf courses, waste water treatment
plants etc.
Our highly qualified and experienced staff is complemented by our full-fledged IDOT,
U.S Army Corps of Engineers, American Standard for Testing Materials (ASTM) and
American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO) certified
materials laboratory, providing the needed common & advanced laboratory testing
for soils, concrete, hot-mix asphalt, aggregates & geosynthetics.
